And what makes this game special , is that every mission is kind of randomized. So you will never know where the suspects, hostages, civilians may be. You have to bring order to chaos and save people, or you can just start shooting everyone and fail the mission :p And there are alot of missions, like 20+, so alot of replayability guaranteed.Sure the game is kind of dated, but it still delivers some of the best gaming moments ever. I would strongly recommend this game, as well as SWAT 4(sadly not on Steam...). *Played on Windows 7, fully working with compatibility mode set*. I feel like I'm 10 again playing this, absolutely loved it back then so I decided to buy it again. Just how I remember it, try being stealthy and tactical, your squad sees one guy, goes absolutely mental and I'm spamming COMPROMISED 20 times in a row ;')Game wouldn't load to begin with (direct x error) but after setting it to load in windows xp compatability mode it works fine.. this is some great memory here. swat3 catches a great dramatic scene in every level. sort of an gaming emotion you don't get by modern games now. The Ai is incredible good for a game from 90's then again, games from 90's aren't the best just because of nostalgic feeling. You can notice that the game feeling itself is more importnant than the graphic.. Simply Amazing, this has to be the best in the series.Yes, it is quite outdated but the gameplay and A.I makes it one of a kind.. it keeps telling me direct x error. no matter what this game will not work. its rez will not let you play it.. This is 10-David....go ahead.....I absolutely love this game. An all-time favorite. I won't spend much time reviewing gameplay, imagine Rainbow 6 with an emphansis on civilian crime rather than some crazy terrorist organization [though that does come into play eventually]. I will however point out that this is no remaster. It doesn't work with any mods released for the CD or GOG version. You have to install fixes to get this game runnning right.For me, this is pretty normal when a classic game is dropped in steam all of a suddenly....I hold hopes that the mod community will fix this game. It would be nice seeing some content added for us veterans who have played this to death. Nothing is much of a surprise seeing as I went through it multiple times as a kid.If you buy the game and need help getting it to run, seek my or the forums help. I'm off to go handcuff some badguys.. So, when I start up my game the intro is fine but when I load into the front page it is black, purple, and pink. Also my screen looks like a molbile phone screen. Please tell me what to do or atleast give me some information.. I loved this game back in the day. Spent many childhood hours cuffing noncombatants and then throwing CS gas on them for the lulz. Cuffing perps and then executing them with my pistol. Shooting homeless people with beanbags. You know the deal.So I got a hair up my♥♥♥♥♥and bought this, only to find out it's totally not compatible with Windows past Vista. None of the cutscene videos play, and crash the game when they're attempted. The intro video crashes the game on startup, fixable with the -nointro command, but even still, you're likely to trigger a crash by clicking the wrong thing in-game. Anyways, even if you get past that, it's frought with bugs due to incompatibility. I've been fighting horrid framerates, and now I cant even get the thing to get past flashing the home screen for half a second before crashing.Steam: Fix these old games before you sell them. It's 2017, the game is 16 years old. It's going to need a patch before it's good for public consumption.. Constant crashing. First I had an issue that would not let me start the game, which was a pretty easy fix. Then, I got the same error message again whenever I try to start a game. Restarts didn't do anything and I don't care enough to look for a fix. Thank god for Steam's refund function.Save yourself some money.
